Flash Coffee Mediterania Tanjung Duren occupies an arched ground-floor unit in a residential complex in West Jakarta. A navy fascia with yellow lettering sits above the classical arches of the building.
The revamped interior replaces a plain fit-out with warm orange plaster, a glazed terracotta tile wall behind the bar and a long upholstered banquette topped with planters. Slim linear lights, orange chairs and a stainless bar give the small space a bright, welcoming character.
A successful revamp
As a revamp, the project transformed an existing store rather than starting from scratch. The refreshed design has been a clear success, drawing new customers in and elevating the everyday experience for regulars with better comfort, clearer flow and a stronger sense of place.
