Flash Coffee World Capital Tower sits in the double-height lobby of an office tower in Mega Kuningan, Jakarta. Rather than a closed shop, the store is designed as an open pavilion: a round timber platform that people can approach from every side as they cross the lobby.
A radial canopy of dark timber beams fans out from a ring of light around the central column, carrying the illuminated FLASH sign and giving the space a sense of enclosure without walls. Olive trees, cognac leather lounge chairs and rattan-backed seats soften the polished stone of the lobby.
Beyond the pavilion, a quieter lounge with tufted leather sofas and a terrace under a draped fabric canopy offer places to stay longer, turning a pass-through lobby into a meeting point for the whole building.
