Mr AN Apartment is a compact one-bedroom unit in Jakarta, designed in 2020 for a young professional. The brief was to make a small footprint feel generous, with plenty of storage and a clear place for every activity.
Plan & sections
The furniture plan divides the unit into a living room, a common dining and work area, a bedroom, a storage room and a pantry kitchen. Sections show how built-in joinery lines the walls, keeping the floor open.
The spaces
Light oak and white surfaces keep the rooms bright. A long dining table doubles as a desk, the living room centres on a built-in TV and shelving wall, and the bedroom sits on a raised platform with drawers underneath.
Custom joinery
Each piece of joinery was drawn in detail for the workshop, from the storage bed platform and TV cabinet to the compact kitchen set and wardrobe.
